PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Damien Vadimov has a round oval-ish face with small round ears to match and a usually expressionless mouth. He has three beauty marks, one resting on his left cheek bone, one resting on his right lower cheek, and one resting on his chin. His brown/black eyes are usually half-lidded and sport a tired or uninterested look.
His hair has gone through many different bleach and hair dye products, but for a while has been a split dye between his natural hair color, orange/red and cyan. It's styled into a messy flipped-out bob with low-cut bangs that more often than not cover his eyes.
Damien is a slender individual with long arms and legs to convey, his arms subconsciously propped up similar to that of a praying mantis, warranting the rude nickname he was given as a child. Throughout his body are miscellaneous marks and scars from many different experiences throughout his life. He's tall, standing at 6 '1 feet (185cm).
His clothing style is a mix of alternative streetwear and generally casual clothes, such as crust pants paired with band t-shirts, chains and ripped sweaters, and other similar styles. He has his ears pierced on both sides, along with snake bite piercings on his lips.
PERSONALITY
Damien is a reserved individual who tries to limit social interactions as much as possible. He can come off as unapproachable and intimidating to others, and despite being aware of this, doesn't make an active effort to change that, as he doesn't mind the lack of attention, and even enjoys it to an extent.
Damien has lived a very traumatic life alongside his brother Dominic. From a very young age the two of them have faced severe neglect from their money-hungry parents, often being deprived of basic necessities such as food, water, and clothing. By the age of 8, both he and his brother had been sold into human trafficking by their father, where they were forced into many despicable acts with others and themselves.
The two of them managed to escape and run away when they were 13, and hopped from homeless shelters and abuse refugee clinics. By 15, the two of them were put into the foster care system, and by 16, the two lived together through independent living programs funded by DCFS.
The damage ran pretty deep. From the start, it was Damien who always had to take charge and do his best for his brother, had to learn how to cook and clean and keep a brave face up when the two of them went through hell. He didn't have time to cry and break down when being sexually abused or beaten or drugged. Now that he's an adult, he didn't know how to stop putting that face on.
With Dominic's mental health over the years declining as a result of all of the trauma, Damien gave up on his dream of pursuing music as a full-time career, and instead applied to medical school. He is currently Dominic's caretaker and is medically trained to deal with all of Dominic's crises.
He still makes independent music in his free time.

STRENGTHS
THICK SKIN
- Damien doesn't give any reaction to insults or negative commentary from others.
- You'd have to really annoy him for him to give you the time out of his day.
MUSICAL TALENT
- Damien is incredibly musically gifted, and has mastered an impressive amount of musical instruments, almost being completely self taught.
- He's a great vocalist, and self taught himself diaphragm screaming.
- He's taught himself the drums, bass, and guitar.
- He's even taught himself a little bit of clarinet and kazoo.
WEAKNESSES
MENTAL HEALTH
- A lot of Damien's trauma has never actually been properly processed or treated. As a result, Damien is able to understand that what happened to him is bad, but there's never a lot of emotion behind him sharing his story and talks about these things very matter-of-factly. He knows he should probably sit down with a specialist and sort it out, but he's worried he won't be able to mentally handle the process of healing and reopen wounds he doesn't know how to close back up.
POWERS
EYES OF THE UNIVERSE
- Damien (unknowingly) has made contact with Eyes of The Universe. As a result, his eyes glow blue when in contact with active demonic entities.

MORE ABOUT ORIGIN
- Damien was originally my spooky month persona. He didn't have this much depth to his backstory until much much later.
- For a while I actually led people to believe that Damien and Dominic were the same person by introducing Dominic as a “design change” while dropping minor inconsistencies until someone finally noticed and pointed it out.
- Damien is technically the oldest, as he was born first. He's 4 hours older than Dominic.
- Damien and Dominic are somewhat inspired by Castor and Pollux from Greek mythology. Damien represents Pollux, who sacrificed half of his immortality and chance at godhood, giving half of his immortality to his dying brother.
EXTRA
- There's a lot I want to represent with the twins, some stuff I may not be able to portray all that well. But these two characters, despite no longer being a super big part of representing me as a person, they still represent a large part of the emotions I still struggle to break out of today.
- Damien represents the part of me that doesn't know how to process my flaws and experiences. The part of me that's still stuck in autopilot mode. The part of me that hates change and can't stand it, even if it's good. The part of me that's sacrificed long term happiness in some ways for long-term happiness in other ways.
- Damien represents how trauma can draw hard lines in romance, sexuality, identity and intimacy. Damien is very disgusted by most physical contact and emotional connections, and is only capable of enjoying it with people he's close with and can fully trust. Most people don't have that level of reassurance outside of his brother. As a result, he's very physical with his brother and emotionally dependent on him a bit more than he should be. He craves a level of trust he can only really receive from his brother, unfortunately to the point where it can sometimes even come off as emotionally incestuous.
